Inficron's database design and development team has broad and deep experience across verticals. We build databases for research and analysis and build online database applications. Often we extract data from disparate data sources, transform it to fit operational needs and load (ETL) it into carefully designed target databases or data warehouses for consumption. Sometimes we write custom software programs to automate this process at intervals so that the client application is always updated.

What are databases that we use and which is best for my application?
There many database software programs available. No one size fits all. After carefully examining your application and considering the growth of your business, we may opt for an open source relational strategy such as MySQL or PostgreSQL. Perhaps you have a huge dataset requiring check constraints and flashback queries. We may suggest Oracle. Or maybe a database snapshot will suffice and you are running a purely Microsoft environment. We may choose MS SQL server. Sometimes a relational database management system (RDBMS) is not the way to go.

Suppose your data isn't very relational and doesn't need built in analytics or security, but is volatile and must be accessible with high throughput such as stock prices or real time communication. We may implement a NoSQL variant such as Redis for sheer performance, or a horizontally scalable alternative such as MongoDB that retains some properties of SQL.
